Re-inventing the Ordinary

So i'm kind of kicking myself for not blogging as I went along but just wanted to show you some of the things I was up to in my first year at Cardiff Metropolitan. 

Our first term was all about learning techniques and creating a fat ass technical file

In stitch we covered:

• Hand embroidery
• Free machine with fancy yarns
• Bondaweb
• Applique 
• Dissolvable fabric 

In dye we covered:

• Stretching and colouring paper
• Direct dyes
• Disperse dyes
• Acid dyes
• Heat transfer
• Resists
• Shibori

I applied the techniques I learnt to the brief 're-inventing the ordinary' here are some of my final samples.
